We encourage individuals to utilize the Rubilan community to connect with language learners worldwide and collaboratively pursue their language learning objectives. However, this pursuit must not come at the expense of others' safety, well-being, or the community's integrity. Therefore, by using Rubilan, you agree not to engage in the behaviors outlined below, nor facilitate or support others in doing so:

Violence and Threats

Safety remains our foremost concern. We promptly remove content if it poses a genuine risk of physical harm or direct threat to public safety. You may not make credible threats or organize real-world acts of violence. Additionally, we prohibit promoting, planning, or celebrating actions that may lead to financial harm to others, including theft and vandalism.

Self-Harm

We treat self-harm threats with utmost seriousness. Any promotion or encouragement of self-mutilation, eating disorders, or substance abuse is swiftly removed. We collaborate with suicide prevention organizations globally to provide assistance to individuals in distress.

Harassment, Bullying, or Stalking

Harassment, bullying, or stalking is not tolerated on Rubilan. While users are free to express opinions on matters of public interest, we take action against any abusive behavior directed towards private individuals. Repeatedly sending unwelcome friend requests or messages amounts to harassment. If you believe you're a victim of harassment, refer to "What should I do if I'm being harassed?" for appropriate steps.

Hate Speech and Offensive Language

Avoid posting content, sending messages, or taking any actions on the Rubilan Platform that target individuals based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, caste, gender, gender identity, and serious diseases or disabilities.

Sexually Obscene Content

We maintain a strict stance against the sharing of explicit adult content, especially when minors are involved. Display of nudity is also subject to limitations.

Political or Religious Discussions

Initiating or engaging in discussions related to political or religious topics is discouraged. These subjects can lead to polarizing and hateful remarks. As Rubilan is primarily designed for language learning, we avoid hosting such discussions.

Identity and Privacy

Refrain from publishing others' personal information without their consent. Respect others' communication preferences and seek written consent before recording their interactions. Do not impersonate someone else, mislead by copying another Member's avatar, using a misleadingly similar username, or posing as another Member or an organization.

We also urge you not to disclose your personal information, such as phone numbers, email addresses, video chat, instant message IDs, physical addresses, credit card numbers, passwords, or similar identifying data. This precaution safeguards users from unauthorized account access, online identity theft, and phishing scams. Private information should be shared exclusively through private direct messaging.

Intellectual Property

Prior to sharing content on Rubilan, ensure you possess the necessary rights to do so. Respect copyrights, trademarks, and other legal rights.

Phishing and Spam

To safeguard members' privacy and security, avoid sending identical messages to multiple members or repeatedly posting the same content in various sections of the Rubilan Platform. Additionally, do not engage in commercial communication without the consent of the recipient. Avoid making posts or comments solely for commercial purposes, as this detracts from the language-learning community's value.

Reporting Violations

We take any misconduct seriously. If you believe a violation of this Rubilan Community Policy or other Rubilan Policies has occurred, report the violation to us. (See "How to report violations")

Potential actions in response to policy violations may include, but are not limited to:

  • Removal of violating content
  • Partial loss of account privileges
  • Suspension of the Rubilan Account belonging to the violating member
  • Termination of the Rubilan Account belonging to the violating member
