1. Update your calendar

Teacher Settings -> Lessons And Availability -> Teacher Calendar.

If you are going on vacation, make sure your available times are closed.


2. Update your lesson request status

Teacher Settings -> Lessons And Availability -> Availability Settings

Set your lesson request status to "allow lesson requests from current students or nobody". This will prevent you from showing up in the "Find a Teacher" list.


3. Notifying your students

  • Leave a message in your profile introduction, letting students know when you will be gone, and that you will not be able to reply to lesson requests.
    For example: I will be away from April 3-17 and unable to reply to lesson requests.

  • Send all your students a message that you are taking a break from teaching. If necessary, cancel the lessons or packages that you have with them.   


4. If you are away for a very long time

If you do not log in once for more than 3 months, your profile will be automatically deactivated. If you wish to begin teaching again, you will need to resubmit an application. (All your profile information and lesson history are saved.)
