Why have a student Learning Plan?
In order to help our students reach their goals and measure their progress. We have developed Learning Plans!
So what is it and what does it do?
Students can choose to create a Learning Plan. They are able to tell us their level and then select a goal like, "Acing your job interview in English”, then they set their ideal frequency of classes per week.
With that information, we provide them with checkpoints, skills like "Ask for directions inside the building”, and reminders along the way to keep them motivated and returning to your class.
Why do I need to know?
We support teachers in their ability to create custom lessons that fit their student's needs and provide a great experience for each of their students. With these Learning Plans, you as the teacher still have the space to do that, but your student will also have the learning tasks that they want to achieve for their progress. It is important that you are aware so you can help them achieve their goals in class!
How do I know a student has a Learning Plan?
When a student sets up a Learning Plan they can choose to share it with their teacher. You will then get a message from the student outlining the plan they have set up.
What do I need to do?
Just keep teaching amazing lessons and helping students reach their goals both in class and in their Learning Plans! The students will handle the rest.
Keep in mind that this is our first version of this feature with many more developments and updates to come!
